WHO AM I
I am a retired forester and environmental scientist. I am an avid landscape photographer with photographs from around my current home and from my travels across the United States. My photographs are all available for your enjoyment or to purchase for all of your interior design at your home or your office from my galleries at Fine Art America. I have also written a book on the Ice Age Flood in the Pacific Northwest, a book on my experience as a Vietnam Veteran, and a Christian book about stepping out in faith.

I wrote a fascinating book on the Ice Age Flood at the end of the last Ice Age in Eastern Washington and the Columbia River Gorge. The book is designed as a self-guided automobile tour including maps, detailed travel directions, photographs of the amazing geological features created by the flood, descriptions of the features, and commentary of the features that are visible along the travel route.
As a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Fire Direction Center in a 175 mm howitzer base near the DMZ I began to experience symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). My book "The Listening Post - A Snapshot of Life" chronicles my experience in Vietnam, my life before Vietnam, and my life after Vietnam and how it my been impacted by my PTSD.
As I born-again Christian, I am fascinated by the story of Peter getting out of the boat and briefly walking on water. When his faith wavered he began to sink and was rescued by Jesus. My book, "Get out of the Boat - Shut up and Get out of the Boat" presents the truth that we also can do anything if we only have faith. The truth is that if we stop making excuses as to why we can't we can if we step out in faith.
